FIPS CARES: Let's Find These 2 Sister Cats a Home!

A Park Slope couple moving out of the country is looking for a new home for their two young cats. If you're looking to adopt a few felines to make your apartment cheerful and free of mice, please reach out to them via this craigslist ad.

And before some of you get all, "These-people-sound-like-selfish-dicks-who-adopted-the-cats-and-now-won't-take-responsibility-for-them," know that this doesn't sound like an easy decision for this couple. Surely moving cats out of the country isn't an incredibly simple feat.

Here's their post:

this really really bums us out, but my wife and i need a good home for our two twin sister cats who we just adopted recently. we're moving out of the country and it's too difficult to bring them. they're still young, we'd call them "teenagers" (only 9mo old), and have been fixed, have all their shots and medical papers to prove their health. we're including 1 hard carrying case for them, as well as harnesses and leashes so you can take them to the park (they love hanging out on a blanket and people watching with us, it's adorable!). we'll also include their toys, food dish and a good litter box adequate for two cats. both are friendly sweethearts who love to follow you all around the house, and they keep each other company all day, so they don't get lonely while you're at work. one is very laid-back and the other has more kitten energy and will play with you as long as you want. they are comfortable in new environments and not the "omg people i'm gonna hide" type.

we prefer to keep them together because they have been their whole lives (almost a year). if it's absolutely imperative, we will give them to two separate homes, but it's truly best for their happiness to remain together.

please pass this along to anyone you know who may be looking to adopt as well, it would be hugely appreciated.
