We had Swedish meatballs and latkes. They go remarkably well together.

The downside: Now the apartment will smell like latkes for the remainder of Chanukah. Eight days of oil, indeed.

practice latkes on thursday night, the real batch is coming tonight. gave my girl a digital slr, which should keep her happy for a few months. she got me a sweater. it's a nice sweater, from brooklyn industries. my hands stunk of onions up until the first night.
